History

Over the past 25 years, Modular Automation has grown by working closely with our clients and delivering to the highest standards in design, tool making and build quality. Our success is due to our reputation throughout the industry for customer service and quality.

 

1986: Founded by local Engineer Ron O'Brien.

1993: Set-up CAD design department.

1995: Developed the first Cam Driven Nokia Mobile Phone Connector line for Molex.

1997: Moved to purpose built factory (12,500 sq.ft.)

1999: Molex take 100% shareholding of Modular

2000: Accredited ISO 9001.

2001: Doubled the factory size to 25,000 sq. ft facility.

2003: Development of Modular s first six axis transfer line

2006: Management buyout completed

2007: Shipped 75 DVD mailing machines to the World's largest DVD rental company.

2008: Turnover exceeds €14.5 million (50% exported).

2011: Development of €2 million high volume renal dialysis production line 

2012: Software controls department is scaled up 

2013: Modular celebrates 25 years in business and launches a new corporate image.
