Our Story

Modular Automation was established in 1986 in the Shannon region, the Industrial hub of Ireland’s western seaboard. Starting in a small premises the company began designing and manufacturing tools and fixtures. It quickly grew to developing larger machines for industry - due to a strong emphasis on design and advanced CAD capabilities.

The company progressed to building highly complex machines and soon gained recognition from larger companies . International manufacturers began to join a growing list of clients. Clients like Molex signified a major step forward for Modular Automation.

the company quickly outgrew its premises and the decision was taken to move to a new purpose built HQ. The decision to stay in the Shannon region was strategically important for the company’s long term future. Good relationships with key suppliers and close access to an international airport were significant factors as the company continued to gather international clients.

NEW PREMISES

The company moved to the new purpose build facility in 1997. This allowed for an expansion of the team and offered the space requirements necessary for larger projects coming on stream. Four years later the company extended the new facility to 25,000sq.ft, doubling its original size.

Shannon has proven to be the ideal location for a company that requires excellent road and air links (Located two kilometer's from Shannon International airport and one Kilometres from the main western road link) Every machine developed by Modular Automation is designed, built and tested in our Shannon headquarters. The stakeholders benefit from this single base of operations by working together on a daily basis on each project.

ONE FACILITY- 1000's OF SUCCESSFUL PROJECTS

This centralized base benefits designers and engineers alike by fostering idea exchanges every day. Collaboration and continued learning is at the core of Modular Automation's strategy into the future.

The company is continually investing in new technologies, up skill-ing in every department and adapting the facilities to ensure the products we build are clean, reliable and technologically advanced.
